Dsquared2 founded by the identical twin brothers and fashion provocateurs Dean and Dan Caten has this year 2020, reached their 25-year mark.
The ride has been a wild one since D&D founded the menswear brand back in 1995. Fast forwarding three decades later—they now encompass an entire lifestyle including womenswear, beach/underwear, children’s, and fragrance. An evolved and broad brand that covers more occasions, from formal to sports … wherever in life you want to go the twins have got you covered.
The cornerstone of their design has always been a seamless melding of contrasts: sporty and glamorous, laid-back, and extravagant, masculine, and feminine. Made with a timeless design and with a high quality of Italian-made tailoring. Laying forward their Italian heritage which comes with beauty, craftsmanship, high quality and contemporary seductiveness and charm, and mixing playfulness from their Canadian roots, by adapting Canadian iconography into their pieces. That’s their brands motto after all: “Born in Canada, Living in London and Made in Italy”.
Dsquared2 customers are all stylish people with a great personality, who are not afraid to mix and match casual and elegant items, and who are comfortable and at ease, wearing them that way! When you buy Dsquared2 you don’t buy seasonal wear, but a closet that is made to last over the course of time, with pieces that go together regardless of which collection they come from, and can be worn whether you wear it for work, party or travel.
“Now, looking at everything we have done, we really want to focus on what our contribution to fashion is, on what really belongs to us—to Dsquared2. The 25th anniversary marks an important milestone—it is a time of celebration, a moment for us to reflect and be nostalgic. But it also pushes us to do more, be better, to focus on our identity—Canadian heritage, Italian tailoring, personal taste. Real clothes for real people.”
